Hi! I'm Kayla!
I am a designer that has always had a passion for learning about why people do what they do.
My interest with UX began while obtaining my bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science, where I wanted to be able to apply my skills of research and understanding human psychology into the world of design.
With my design work, I hope to make a positive impact on users' digital experiences and to design with intentionality in mind!

Mentoring 20+ incoming interns through weekly workshops/projects centered around UX/UI and digital design practices. Hosting a 10-week design sprint through academic quarter to provide interns practice of a case study.

Designing digital marketing materials and in-store signage to improve store's online and campus' presence. Utilizing Oracle NetSuite to update the online web store product photos and content.
Led group of 3 on marketing projects (social media assets and digital concepts) and managed social media growth analytics. Collaborated with VP of Marketing to rebrand social media presence to highlight the company's high precision machined and aerospace-influenced technology for implants.

Contracting project assisting Kevcomp redesigning its website and establishing company's online presence.

Working alongside the UX department faculty at UCSC to better improve student digital experiences by contributing to hosting with research pools & expanding the UX community on campus.
Outside of Work
I love reading books, drawing/painting, fashion, and trying new perfumes.
Outside of designing, you can find me at a bookstore, an art gallery, or a concert!
